The Delaware Valley Trusts (DVT) is pleased to announce the selection of Rick Mellor as the new Executive Director, marking the successful culmination of a rigorous, nationwide search led by the public-sector recruitment firm, GovHR. Mr. Mellor’s wealth of experience in municipal government and his prominent role as a key leader in the Delaware Valley Property and Liability Trust (DVPLT) make him the ideal candidate to steer DVT toward a future of continued success and innovation.
Rick Mellor currently serves as the Manager of Whitemarsh Township, where he has amassed extensive experience in municipal government, demonstrating strong leadership skills and an unwavering commitment to community service. In addition to his municipal role, Mr. Mellor has played a pivotal role as a member of the Executive Committee of the Delaware Valley Property and Liability Trust, earning respect for his expertise and commitment to ensuring the financial security and well-being of DVT’s public-sector members.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rick as our new Executive Director, and we extend our gratitude to GovHR for their invaluable assistance in this selection process,” stated Robert Pellegrino, long-time DVT leader and Chair of the Recruitment Committee. “His exceptional leadership in both municipal government and on the DVPLT board makes him the ideal candidate to lead DVT into the future. We have every confidence that his strategic vision and passion for our mission will enhance DVT’s standing with both existing and prospective members.”
Rick Mellor will officially assume the position of Executive Director in early January. In this role, he will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing day-to-day operations, and maintaining DVT’s ongoing financial stability. Under his leadership, DVT aims to reinforce its reputation as a trusted insurance provider to public entities in the region.
