In partnership with the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), the Delaware Valley Trusts is pleased to offer 20 DVWCT/DVPLT scholarships (limit two scholarships per member entity) for the online program Winter Maintenance Basics & Best Practices. The virtual program is a three-part series scheduled for the following dates:

|Winter Maintenance Staffing/Budgeting and Finances||Tues Oct 5, 2021||10-11:30 am|
Review will include the important pre‐winter preparations necessary for efficient and safe operations during winter weather. Plowing operations and many techniques used with common equipment will be discussed plus specific areas of operational and safety concerns including pre‐planning, spreading operations, salt and other materials, pre‐wetting salt (when, how, and the advantages and benefits), anti‐icing, necessary post‐storm cleanup, and final winter cleanup operations. Public Works Directors, Street and Road Crews, Municipal Officials, or municipal employees involved with winter/snow removal operations for their community are encouraged to attend.
The virtual course will be interactive and include group discussions. You must complete all three classes to receive a course completion and scholarship funds. Class size is limited.
Cost: $100 for PSAB members, $150 non-members, $50 PSAB Plus members. You must register directly with PSAB (see below). A link will be sent from PSAB prior to the event.
How to Claim a DVWCT/DVPLT Scholarship:
1) Worker’s Compensation Trust (DVWCT) and Property & Liability Trust (DVPLT) members should first contact the Trust to confirm availability and reserve your scholarship by emailing email@example.com or calling 267-803-5720.
2) Register directly with PSAB by visiting training.boroughs.org or call Terri at 800-232-7722, Ext. 1042.
3) After completing the four-part course, forward proof of completion and payment to firstname.lastname@example.org.
4) Upon approval, the Trusts will issue a reimbursement check for the value of the scholarship (up to two per member entity).
