From the recent events in our nation’s capital, to the “Plain View Project” and other efforts to place law enforcement social media use in the spotlight, the pitfalls of improper social media use are clear. This course will delve into the state of the law regarding public employee social media use, best practices for individuals and municipalities and real-world examples of expression leading to sometimes harsh discipline of public employees.
