DVPLT Scholarship Opportunity

In partnership with the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), the Delaware Valley Property & Liability Trust is pleased to offer 20 full scholarships (limit two scholarships per member entity) for the following program:

Newly Elected Municipal Officials Boot Camp
Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, 2024
9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Location:  Delaware Valley Trusts, 719 Dresher Road, Horsham, PA

Description: Elected officials enact ordinances and resolutions, adopt budgets and levy taxes, guide the future growth of your community, and respond to a wide variety of citizen ideas and concerns, all while staying on top of the latest state laws and regulations. This 2-day workshop will give you an overview of the basics – the things you need to know right now – and help you to look at the big picture of local government in your community. This is a great refresher for the not-so-new official, too!

You must attend both days to receive a course completion and DVPLT scholarship funds. Class size is limited.

Cost:  $125 for PSAB members, $150 non-members, $62.50 PSAB Plus members. Special group rate for members: register 4 or more and pay only $100 per person! You must register directly with PSAB (see below). 

How to Claim a DVPLT Scholarship:

• Property & Liability Trust (DVPLT) members should first contact the Trust to confirm availability and reserve your scholarship by emailing cbigham@dvtrusts.com or calling 267-803-5720.
• Register directly with PSAB by visiting www.training.boroughs.org or call 800-232-7722.
• After completing the program, forward proof of completion and payment to cbigham@dvtrusts.com.
• Upon approval, the Trusts will issue a reimbursement check for the value of the scholarship (up to two per member entity).
