Spotted lanternfly (SLF) is an invasive insect that has spread throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and nearby states. It threatens grapes, hardwood, tree fruit, hops, landscapes and the nursery industry. Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is a destructive insect of North American ash trees which has caused widespread ash tree decline and mortality throughout northeastern North America. This training will review the life cycle of the SLF and EAB. Participants will learn strategies to help mitigate SLF and EAB related risks including actions that can be taken stop the spread of these invasive insects. It will also provide information on permit requirements for PA quarantine areas.

This training provides ISA and Pesticide Applicators CEU credits.

Audience: This course is designed for municipal public works and parks employees, planners, tree commissioners and arborists who work within their communities.

Cost: $40 fee for attending the workshop includes a continental breakfast and break.

4) Upon approval, the Property & Liability Trust will issue a reimbursement check for the value of the scholarship
