This workshop combines an overview of the impact of various laws and conditions affecting employment practices in the workplace with the key elements of an effective performance management process. Topics include the Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, age and sexual discrimination, privacy rights, affirmative action, unemployment compensation and workers compensation. Also included are setting goals and expectations, using objectives/standards as performance measures and providing employee feedback.

This training will be held at Delaware Valley Trusts located at 719 Dresher Rd. Horsham, PA 19044. This training satisfies the requirements of Penn DOT Pub. 408, Sec. 901 related to minimum competencies for work zone flaggers and other road workers. Topics covered include fundamentals of temporary traffic control, project planning, personal protective equipment, placement of traffic control devices, use of shadow vehicles and proper flagging techniques. Attendees who pass the final exam receive a certified flagger wallet card valid for three years. This course is approved for 3 Pa. DEP water/wastewater operator contact hours.
