The Delaware Valley Workers’ Compensation Trust (DVWCT) and Property & Liability Trust (DVPLT) are pleased to offer up to 20 scholarships of $200 each (limit one scholarship per member entity) for the following course:

Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Instructor Training

January 8 – 12, 2024

Description:  This 5-day, highly dynamic course provides useful defensive and countermeasure skills in all three zones of defense, especially for close quarter battles and effecting the arrest. It relies heavily on practical, hands-on applications and is intended for those who want instruction in the proper uses of both soft and hard empty-hand techniques, weapons retention, and use of straight batons for self-defense. The course also provides subject- control for escort/takedown and handcuffing, handcuffing techniques for passive and active resistant individuals with chain and hinge cuffs, along with proper usage and application of aerosol OC.

Cost: $875. You must register directly with Defense-Technology.com (see below). Lunch is not included.

How to Claim a DVPLT Scholarship:

Workers’ Compensation Trust (DVWCT) and Property & Liability Trust (DVPLT) members should first contact the Trust to confirm availability and reserve your scholarship by emailing cbigham@dvtrusts.com or calling 267-803-5720.

• After completing the course, forward proof of completion and payment to cbigham@dvtrusts.com.
• Upon approval, the Trusts will issue a reimbursement check for a $200 scholarship (max 20, one per member entity).
