Recognizing that we all have bias does not make us wrong, it makes us human.  This course will explore the theories and the science on explicit and implicit bias and bring the audience to a better understanding of the core terms and objectives in avoiding bias-based policing.  With a better understanding and a better police-community partnership as its goals, the course will help municipalities develop better anti-bias policies, and individual officers to develop tools to better serve the diverse populations they police.

Virtual Presentation via Zoom – a Zoom link with instructions will be sent to registrants about a week prior to the class.
