This program will provide an overview of how to prevent, recognize, report and remediate all forms of a hostile work environment and workplace harassment. It will take a practical approach by providing numerous real-life examples of potential hostile work environments and workplace harassment. It is also designed to illustrate the complexities and potential subjectivity of what constitutes a “hostile work environment” and educate attendees on the relevant laws.

Our speaker, Gina M. Ameci, Esq. of Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, P.C., will address all protected categories, such as gender, race, national origin or ethnicity, religion, disability, age and others. Finally, her presentation will provide best practices for the workplace – obeying the law on these issues is necessary, but employers should aim for a higher standard of professionalism, civility and mutual respect.
