While all law enforcement officers are required to understand the law regarding search and seizure and use of force, canine operators are faced with the need for more specialized knowledge of the law in these areas. Police canines are a tool of law enforcement requiring the more in-depth look at the law that this block of instruction provides. From “bite and hold” to sniffs and searches, this class covers all of the basics of canine operation.

This course is MPOETC approved for CLEE credit.
