Mental health is an important part of overall health and well-being. It not only includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being but also affects how we think, feel, and act. Additionally, mental health helps us determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Many Americans struggle with mental health issues especially with the last few years of social distancing, quarantine, and isolation intensifying the feelings of loneliness with nowhere to turn for help. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, “1 in 6  youth/adolescents will experience a mental health condition at any given time.” Identifying warning signs and recognizing symptoms combined with seeking treatment early can help reduce the overall impact of a mental health condition.
