Helping Employees Return to Work Safely and Confidently

Delaware Valley Municipal Management Association’s Disability Management Program offers employers structured, proactive support designed to assist employees facing non-occupational injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. This program delivers measurable benefits for both employees and employers by:

    • Reducing time away from work through early intervention and coordinated support.
    • Improving employee well-being with personalized assistance and resources.
    • Minimizing costs associated with disability leave and lost productivity.

Our approach fully complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring that reasonable accommodations are provided to employees whenever feasible.

This fee for service based program includes:

    • Expert Oversight
A dedicated Nurse Case Manager (NCM) consults with treating physicians to monitor progress, review treatment plans, and ensure timely interventions.
    • Workplace Integration
NCM coordinates rehabilitation and transitional return-to-work strategies tailored to functional abilities and job requirements, reducing downtime and improving productivity.
    • Communication and Collaboration
Acting as a central liaison, the Nurse Case Manager facilitates consistent communication between employees, employers, and healthcare providers, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the recovery process.
    • Goal-Oriented Approach
Focused on minimizing disability duration and optimizing outcomes, our program supports both employee well-being and organizational efficiency.
    • Fitness for Duty Exam Coordination
Manages scheduling and coordination of Fitness for Duty examinations to confirm whether the employee can return to work at full capacity or with restrictions, supporting safe and effective reintegration.
