Rick serves as the Executive Director at Delaware Valley Trusts, with his appointment commencing in 2024. With an extensive career spanning 23 years in municipal management within Lower Moreland and Whitemarsh Townships, he has developed expertise in organizational development, project management, fiscal management, and public engagement.
Within the Trusts, Rick has successfully restructured departments, advanced technology implementations, and enhanced communication strategies. His experience includes roles as a member, Trustee, and Executive Board member of Delaware Valley Trust. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Villanova University and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Scranton.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Rick values spending time with his wife and their two teenage children. He is an avid supporter of Philadelphia sports teams and enjoys playing golf.
Lauren joined Delaware Valley Trusts in 2017, bringing with her a strong background in wellness and health promotion. She initially worked with the Health Trust before transitioning into her current role, where she continues to thrive.
Lauren is passionate about engaging with members and values being an active part of the Trusts community.
Outside of work, she enjoys savoring delicious food, spending time outdoors, and cherishing moments with her family.
Marie joined Delaware Valley Trusts in January 2023. She provides guidance on a wide range of legal and compliance issues for the Trusts including contractual, employee benefits, employment, investment, regulatory, legislative, governance and risk management matters. She is passionate about ensuring the Trusts can fulfil their commitment to intergovernmental cooperation and member support in a compliant manner.
Marie came to the Trust with fifteen years of in-house legal and corporate experience at Fortune 500 companies. She earned a B.A. in Social Relations and International Relations at Michigan State University and earned a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and served as an editor for the DePaul Law Review. She is a lecturer on legal issues and contracts in Drexel University’s Music Industry program.
On the weekend, you can find Marie spending time with her family and two ill-behaved dogs, working on crossword puzzles, making puns, and continuing her lifelong journey to find the worst movie ever made.
Nick has served as the CFO of the Delaware Valley Trusts since April 2024. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Alvernia College, a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from LaSalle University, and a Certificate in Governmental Accounting from Rutgers University. Prior to the Trust, Nick served as the Director of Finance and Administration for Upper Merion Township for 24 years and the Finance Officer/Treasurer for Limerick Township.
Nick has served as the State President of the Pennsylvania Government Finance Officers Association and as a board member of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Risk Management Association. He was also an elected Councilman for the Borough of Pottstown and worked closely with the Borough’s Water/Wastewater Authority and the Lower Pottsgrove Township Planning Commission.
Nick is married and has one grown son. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and vacationing in warm climates.
With 15 years of nursing experience, Emilie has built a diverse career across acute care, perioperative settings, and management. Over the past five years, Emilie has transitioned into the self-funded insurance sector, focusing on developing innovative programs and collaborating with vendors to find solutions that improve patient care while reducing healthcare costs. Certified as a Managed Care Nurse, Emilie is deeply committed to enhancing healthcare systems and helping individuals navigate the complexities of the healthcare landscape, all while striving to drive better outcomes for both patients and organizations.
Outside of work, Emilie enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, caring for freshwater fish aquascapes, and getting messy with arts and crafts with her daughter.
Mark comes to Delaware Valley Trusts with over 37 years of commercial claims experience. He was a leader at various levels of the Claim organizations in both Allstate and Liberty Mutual. While insuring municipalities is new to Mark, he has strong claims and litigation knowledge and expertise. With 30+ years of leadership experience, he focuses on building and maintaining strong teams so that they can better serve our members.
Mark is the proud father of three children and four grandchildren. He and his wife enjoy spending time at the beach. Mark also loves to get out on the golf course and supports all of the local college and professional sports.
Marie began her career with the Delaware Valley Trusts in 2014 and is currently the Claims Manager with the Delaware Valley Worker’s Compensation Trust. Her guiding principles in her work are best described in the following statement: “We cannot quantify the pain and suffering of an injured employee however, we can provide support, respect and dignity to achieve the goal of returning to their life and their work.”
Peter leads DVT’s Risk Control Department as well as coordinates Facility Management for the Horsham office. He has been a prevention professional serving public and private organizations since 1988. Peter has a BS in Toxicology from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, MS in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University and an Associate in Risk Management from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Playground Safety Inspector and Certified Professional Environmental Auditor in Health and Safety.
When not assisting DVT members with preventing occupational injuries, illnesses and property and liability losses, Peter enjoys time with family and friends, reading, media entertainment, “forest bathing” and hobby wargaming.
Neil serves as the Director of Information Technology and HIPAA Security Officer for Delaware Valley Trusts. With over 35 years of experience in the IT industry, Neil has designed and coded multiple user applications, installed networks, and successfully served as a Database Administrator. He leads a team of professionals, overseeing all aspects of the trust’s Information Technologies and introducing innovative solutions to enhance workflow efficiency.
Neil and his team ensure the integrity and security of digital data, which includes managing data protection, access, email communications, and disaster recovery. Additionally, Neil has implemented Electronic Data Interchange, ensuring accurate and secure data transmission to business partners.
