Description: This training teaches the basics of tree planting, tree care, and how municipalities can make dramatic strides towards restoring and caring for the tree canopy in their communities. Topics include tree biology, tree identification, diagnosing stresses on trees, tree identification, tree pruning and root care and tree planting techniques. This training course was developed by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society in collaboration with Penn State Extension Urban Forester in southeast Pennsylvania.

This training provides ISA and Pesticide Applicators CEU credits.

Audience: This course was designed specifically for municipal public works and parks employees, planners, tree commissioners and arborists who work within their communities.

Cost: $40 fee for attending the workshop includes a continental breakfast, breaks, and lunch.

Registration: Directly with the vendor (see below). Deadline to register is April 25, 2019.

DVPLT Scholarships: Limit two scholarships per member entity.

How to Claim a Delaware Valley Trust Property & Liability Trust Scholarship:

2) Next, register directly with the Penn State Extension by calling (877) 345-0691.

3) After completing the course, forward proof of completion and payment to cbigham@dvtrusts.com or fax (267) 803-5770.

4) Upon approval, the Property & Liability Trust will issue a reimbursement check for the value of the scholarship.
