Event Overview

Open to DVWCT and DVPLT members at no cost.

This training is designed to reduce the influence of bias in interactions and decision-making for law enforcement, contribute to improved police-community relations, and increase officer safety. It will enable law enforcement professionals to:

  • Understand key implicit bias concepts and recognize their relevance to contemporary policing practices;
  • Learn skills and strategies to minimize and address job-related challenges involving implicit and explicit bias; and
  • Utilize effective interpersonal approaches to foster positive interactions with community members.

Schedule:        8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Location:         Zoom Virtual Seminar – a link with instructions will be sent directly to registrants along with other course materials prior to the seminar date.

Seating is limited. This seminar was rescheduled from spring 2020 due to COVID-19. Those previously registered will be given first priority seating.  Audio and video is required to be enabled during the seminar.
