In partnership with the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), the Delaware Valley Property & Liability Trust is pleased to offer 15 full scholarships (limit two scholarships per member entity) for the online program The Ethics Act for Elected and Appointed Officials. The virtual program is a two part series scheduled for the following dates:
|The Ethics Act for Municipal Officials||Thurs Feb 4, 2021||10-11:30 am|
|Statement of Financial Interest||Thurs Feb 11, 2021||10-11:30 am|
Public officials have been entrusted by citizens to serve in the public’s best interest. The State Ethics Law was enacted to strengthen the faith and confidence of citizens in their government and to ensure that the financial interests of public officials, nominees or candidates do not conflict with the public trust. Designed to explain the mandates of the Ethics Act as it relates to public officials and employees, this on‐line class will explore and define potential conflicts of interest which should be avoided. Actual scenarios will be presented and discussed.
The virtual series will be interactive and include group discussions. You must complete both classes to receive a course completion and scholarship funds. Class size is limited.
Cost: $50 for PSAB members, $100 non-members, $25 PSAB Plus members. You must register directly with PSAB (see below). A course link will be sent to registrants by PSAB prior to the event.
