According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are approximately 36,000 serious chainsaw injuries each year. Proper safety equipment and operation can greatly reduce the risk of injury when using a chainsaw. This full day workshop will review safety equipment and how to safely start and operate a chainsaw. It will also review reactive forces, directional felling, limbing and bucking, use of wedges, and storm damage and removal techniques.

Participants are required to bring a hardhat. Please note this program is taking place in Lower Salford Township, 379 Main Street Harleysville PA.
